Lakewood Elementary School is issuing a call for help to its parents. Every morning, over 800 students arrive within an hour window and the number is proving to be a little overwhelming. The school needs parent volunteers to help out and keep everything moving in an orderly and efficient manner.

The school also needs help from volunteers with lunch and recess. The most immediate need for help is with K-3 but help is needed across the board. The school is working with Dallas ISD to get some extra help but until they do, they need parents.

Parents can stay after dropping off their kids, come have lunch with their kids and even come spend an hour with kids during recess. Lakewood Elementary is working on setting up a Sign-Up Genius link for an official schedule for the following few weeks.
