Woodrow Wilson High School teacher Brooke Varner was named public high school Teacher of the Year by the East Dallas Chamber of Commerce recently. Varner teaches pre-AP Biology and is also the International Baccalaureate CAS coordinator for Woodrow.

However, Varner's contribution's to the school do not stop at being a teacher. She is also a student council sponsor, a teacher mentor and sponsor of the school's unity project. Varner received her BA and MS degrees from Oklahoma University.
