The residents of Dallas will have a chance to meet with Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings and celebrate the New Year on Friday, January 6 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at La Popular Tamale House. It'll be a good chance for those who haven't met the new mayor to hear his plans and picks his brains.

La Popular Tamale House is located at the Dallas Farmers Market at 1010 South Pearl Expressway. RSVP is required; just email rsvp.mayormike@dallascityhall.com to get on the guest list. The mayor also asks that all attendees bring a book or school supplies to donate to the students at David G. Burnet Elementary.
