Stonewall Jackson Elementary School is proud to announce that three of their students have had their original works of art advanced to the Area stage of PTA Reflections contest. The three children are Braden Hays (kindergarden), Zachary Padrick (first grade) and Briggs Uskovich (second grade). For their efforts, the students have received a certificate of participation.

The theme for this year's Reflections contest was "Diversity Means..." and among the three entries were two photographic pieces and one visual arts interpretation. At the Area level, 10-percent of each arts area and age group will be advanced to the State level. And at the state level, the Texas PTA will select 24 entries to the National level, one from each arts area and age group.

If any of the three Stonewall Jackson students make it to the National level, the results of the contest will be announced in June and July. The National PTA gives up to five Awards of Merit and three Awards of Excellence in each grade division of each arts area.
