Woodrow Wilson High School has made its strongest showing yet in national rankings, beating every suburban comprehensive high school in North Texas except Highland Park and Colleyville Heritage.

The Washington Post compiles an annual list of the most challenging high schools in the country.  From approximately 22,000 high schools, they selected the top 2,300.  Woodrow's rank of 271 puts it in the top 2% of high schools.  The scores are based on a ratio of advanced tests (AP, IB) taken to the number of graduating seniors.  Woodrow administered more than 1,000 AP tests alone.  The school offers 17 AP and 12 IB courses along with a Cambridge/ACE course.
