Now that the calendar has moved past Thanksgiving, people can begin preparing for the Winter Holidays in earnest. One essential part of this time of year is the Christmas music; it's hard to go anywhere and not hear Christmas music being played. And if Lakewood residents want to hear a different style of Christmas music than the usual church choir or carolers, hop on over to the Lakewood Theater for The Polyphonic Spree and their Ninth Annual Holiday Extravaganza.

The Polyphonic Spree is a Dallas-based band that was formed in 2000. The band boasts an eclectic collection of instruments, including a choir, flute, trumpet, trombone, violin, viola, cello, piano and percussion. At their concert at the Lakewood Theater on Saturday, December 10, the group will be performing their holiday single, "It's Christmas."

Tickets are still available for the show at the Lakewood Theater website and are $25 a person.
