Trader Joe's is coming to East Dallas, although it's not going to the Lake Highlands Town Center like everyone in Lake Highlands wanted it to. Instead, the California-based grocery chain will be opening a new location on Lower Greenville at the site of the former Arcadia nightclub.

The 15,000 square foot location is expected to finish sometime at the end of the 2012 and will sell groceries, beer and wine. This comes on the heels of the City of Dallas pouring $1.3 million into the Lower Greenville area to fix up the road and sidewalks.

If Lower Greenville wasn't busy or popular enough, the arrival of Trader Joe's should make this particular area of Lakewood teeming with customers and shoppers.
