For those looking to get out of the house after Christmas is over, consider taking a stroll at White Rock Lake. Yes, it will be chilly and probably a touch windy but the sun should be shining, the air will be crisp and it's a good opportunity to work off some of the food that was eaten over the weekend.

Stroll over to the Spillway and check out the 433 personalized bricks that were laid down during the Pave the Way campaign. The campaign, which was part of the White Rock Lake Centennial Celebration, helped generate $130,000. The money will go towards improvements and projects for the park.

Further north, interested parties can pop into the Bath House Cultural Center and check out all the current events currently ongoing. A few of the displays include Fresh Faces 2 X 2, Call for Art: 18th Annual El Corazon Exhibition and The Lady: White Rock Lake Museum Exhibitions.

And, of course, be sure to check out the beautiful Dallas Arboretum. The arboretum is currently hosting "Holiday at the Arboretum: It's A Fairy Tail World." Visitors can check out seven fairy tale castles including Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and the Little Mermaid. Additionally, the Nancy Rutchik Red Maple Rill opened up back in October and it's a sight to behold.

White Rock Lake has plenty for everyone to see and do. Whether your preference is physical activities - biking, running and fishing - or taking in the sights, there's something for everyone at North Texas' greatest park.
