The Promise of Peace Community Garden is one of five finalists for the WFAA Project Green $20K to a Better Way competition. The garden was featured on Good Morning Texas on Monday morning and Promise of Peace needs the votes of the community to win the contest.

To enter the Project Green competition, organizations had to submit an eco-friendly plan that would benefit the community. Promise of Peace wants to offer camps for kids that will education children about the environment and also give them opportunity to plant vegetable gardens throughout East Dallas and build chicken coops.

To vote for Promise of Peace Community Garden, visit the WFAA Project Green facebook page. The voting began on Monday, August 6 and will last until Sunday, August 12.
