Make Plans to Attend the 36th Annual Lakewood Home Festival

It's a bit early to think about and schedule around but go ahead and mark all calendars for the 36th annual Lakewood Home Festival on Friday, November 9 through Sunday, November 11. The theme for this year's home festival was revealed at the Lakewood Fourth of July Parade - "Boots & Bling - Join the Lakewood Thing".

The Lakewood Home Festival, hosted by the Lakewood Early Childhood PTA, is a community-wide event that has one primary purpose: to raise funds for Lakewood Elementary School, J.L. Long Middle School and Woodrow Wilson High School. The money raised will directly benefit students at these schools through the purchasing of new computers, school materials and enrichment programs, as well as the International Baccalaureate program at Woodrow Wilson.

Since its inception in 1976, the Lakewood Home Festival has raised over $1,000,000 for the three schools. Last year, over 4,000 people attended the event and over $100,000 was raised.

In addition to touring some of Lakewood's finest homes, patrons can purchase trinkets from local artists at the Holiday Market, which will be located inside Lakewood Elementary. They can also grab a bite to eat the Cafe in J.L. Long Middle School and attend the Home Tour Auction Party on Friday night.
