Although residents and parents have been vocal in their opposition of Dallas ISD closing Bonham Elementary School as part of a money saving tactic, it appears time is running for them to change the minds of the board members.

The DISD board of trustees has scheduled final hearings for each of the 11 elementary schools they're planning on closing. The hearing for Bonham Elementary School will be at Robert E. Lee Elementary School on Monday, January 23 at 6:30 p.m. Once all 11 hearings have been finished, the board will vote on the measure on Thursday, January 26 at 4:30 p.m. By closing these 11 schools, DISD hopes to save around $11.5 million.
