There are only a handful of games remaining for the Woodrow Wilson boys and girls basketball teams and both are in strong position to make the playoffs. The boys basketball team (3-0, 15-2) is No. 1 in District 12-4A while the girls basketball team (4-1, 8-10) is second behind undefeated Lincoln High School.

The boys team has torn through their schedule, winning the Alfred Parker Classic in Miami and finishing with only a single loss in the Dallas ISD Coca Cola Tournament. The team's two losses were to Houston Bellaire and to Hillcrest in the Coca Cola Tournament. The team is undefeated in district play, including a 101-33 demolishion of Thomas Jefferson.

The girls team hasn't been quite as successful as the boys but they're still in second place. Their only loss came to first place Lincoln in their last district game, 94-35. However, in the district game before that, Woodrow crushed Thomas Jefferson, 90-22. They'll still have to play Lincoln one more time before the season is over but as long as they take care of business, they'll make the playoffs.
