The Lakehill Preparatory School seventh grade team won both games this week against Canterbury 25-12, 25-4, and Cambridge 25-17, 25-21. Abbey Bauer and Sarah Smith contributed targeted serving, while Sophia GansonMaddison Cerda, and Jourdyn Owens delivered strong overall performances on the court.
 
The eighth grade girls won both of their games this week. They defeated DeSoto Canterbury 25-15, 24-26, and 15-4 to break the first-place tie and take the number one spot in their conference.  They followed up with a win over a powerful Lucas Christian, 25-27, 25-16, and 15-6. Stella PalmerMerritt McCalebNiamh McKinney, and Zuri Williams contributed excellent playing and serving.
 
The Varsity Volleyball took sole possession of first place in the district with wins against Christian Heritage on September 24, and this week against Canterbury and Trinity.
  
The Lady Warriors turned in a dominating performance over Christian Heritage 25-4; 25-7; 25-4. The team totaled 19 aces on the night. On Monday, they faced off against district rival Canterbury and won in straight sets 25-15; 25-5; 25-16. On Tuesday, the team traveled to Longview to take on Trinity. They won in straight sets as well, 25-19; 25-10; 25-16. JuniorKelly Carlson totaled 15 kills on the night and had a 66.7 kill percentage. Fellow junior Claire Crow added in 26 assists, 13 kills and three aces on the night. 
 
"We've been playing well, but there are still areas we need to improve on before playoffs," said Head Coach Jhoana Cayme-Mosley. "I'm looking forward to having this next week to work on and solidify our weaker areas before we start the second half of district play."
