The Friends of Lakewood is a group composed of dads that are dedicated to enhancing the educational experience for their children and the rest of the students at Lakewood Elementary School. The group is looking for more dads to join up and help out with the myriad of events they have planned for the spring semester.

The Friends of Lakewood has been around since 1982 and is responsible for many of the school's extracurricular activities. The Friends of Lakewood have been involved with the Fall Festival, the Spring Carnival and the annual Field Day activities.

However, all of this isn't possible without plenty of dads to supply the manpower. If there are any dads with students at Lakewood Elementary that haven't signed up for the Friends at Lakewood yet, there is still an opportunity to do so. Just email friendsoflakewood@gmail.com to get your invite. The children at Lakewood Elementary benefit greatly from everything the Friends at Lakewood do.
