Stonewall Jackson Elementary School students will be participating in Field Day on Friday, April 20 and while everything is set up to be a day of fun in the sun, parents should still take a few precaution with their children.

The school recommends that parents put sunscreen on their children before school and give the sunscreen to their child for reapplication before Field Day begins. Also, it is recommended that students bring a visor or hat for further protection from the sun. To keep students cool, the fourth grade will be selling sno cones and popsicles.

Kindergarten, first grade and second grades will start Field Day at 8:30 a.m. Third grade, fourth grade and fifth grade will begin at noon. The school needs parent volunteers to help out over the course of the day but especially in the afternoon.
