The annual Lakewoodstock Neighborhood Festival - featuring some great music and art in the Lakewood Shopping Center - will be taking place on Sunday, May 20. To help raise some additional, last-minute funds for the big event, Lakewoodstock will be hosting a charity poker tournament on Saturday, May 19 with all proceeds benefiting the neighborhood festival.

The charity texas hold'em poker tournament will be held at Times Ten Cellars and players of all skill levels are welcome to join in on the fun. The night begins at 6:00 p.m. with food, beverages and player check-ins. The event planners are expecting the tournament to end around 10:30 p.m.

The goal of every player is to make it to the final table, where they'll be in the running for one of the many intriguing prizes available to be claimed. Some of the prizes will be highly sought after:

  • 42" HDTV
  • iPad 3
  • Two first-base line tickets for Texas Rangers baseball
  • One Evening Poker Table from Dead Money Poker: Professional dealer, poker table and chips (up to 10 players)
  • Elaborate Gourmet Imported Beer Bucket from World Beer Company
  • Free wine tasting for 10 at Times Ten Cellars

The early bird entry fee is $80 per player and will end on Sunday, May 13. From that point on, registrants will need to pay $100 to play in the tournament. The entry fee will provide $3,000 in poker chips, as well as food, water and soft drinks.

Any player that is knocked out during the first four blind levels of play can buy back in for $50. However, after the fourth blind level, there will be a one-time offer to add $2,000 poker chips to your stack for $50. Anyone that doesn't make it to the final table can still play sit-and-go poker at one of the single tables for $20. The winners of these smaller tournaments will win smaller consolation prizes.
