On Thursday, May 1, Ford Motor Company clay model sculptor Josue Maldonado will bring his tools of the trade for a one-of-a-kind learning experience for Woodrow Wilson High School students in DISD.

Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Academy (STEM) students, arts students and students from the regional school for the deaf, will learn first-hand from Mr. Maldonado, about how an artist became an integral part of the design process at an American automotive company.

Woodrow Wilson is an appropriate site for this event, as Carroll Shelby, legendary American automotive designer and Ford collaborator on Mustang, is one of the school's well-known graduates.

As Ford Motor Company celebrates the 50th anniversary of the iconic Mustang, one of the designers who literally helped shape the new look of the 2015 Mustang will share his knowledge and skills with students. Mr. Maldonado will lead a discussion and hands-on demonstration with the scale clay model of the next generation Mustang.
