By day, Grady Spencer is a commercial construction superintendent; by night, he’s the front man and songwriter for Grady Spencer & The Work, a Fort Worth-based country band. The group’s music reflects the characteristics of its members—honest and good-timing, with a nod to blue-collar roots. In 2013, the band recorded and self-produced its first album, “Sleep”, which introduced The Work to the Fort Worth music scene. Their second album, “The Lines Between”, carried the band to audiences around the state and on streaming platforms. The Levitt is excited to bring The Work’s “good ol’ Texas country music” to the lawn this Independence Day weekend, in a free concert made possible by support from Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital-Arlington.

Kicking off the Saturday night Levitt show is Texas Hill Country Americana/alt-country artist Jesse Stratton, noted for music that’s “chock-full of truth and raw emotion.” Last fall, Jesse and his band released their third studio album, “Family and Friends,” a story-telling compilation of the “relationships we share with others while navigating the ever-changing waters of life.” Jesse’s Levitt performance and all opening acts for the Levitt’s 2022 free live music series are underwritten by the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation.
