**The Levitt’s July 3 show is part of the Light Up Arlington Independence Day celebration. Early arrival is highly recommended.**
Known for classic soul vocals and infectious showmanship, Austin-based Donovan Keith cut his teeth on the Texas music scene with his debut project, “Soul Track Mind,” a one-of-a-kind, dance-infused stage show described by one reviewer described as being imbued with “...an impressive vocal range and a blues-soaked sound…Keith (engages) an audience with his unbridled enthusiasm and dance moves.”
Donovan’s uniquely vintage style combining soul, funk, and rock blends well with a variety of musical genres, and his universal appeal has led to to invitations to open for the likes of Enrique Iglesias, Tower Of Power, the late Charles Bradley, Fastball, Snarky Puppy, and Erykah Badu. Other career highlights have included official selections at SXSW, the attainment of the Louisiana Music Prize, and appearances at Wakarusa Music Festival, Utopia Festival, and Viva Big Bend. His Levitt performance is made possible by support from the City of Arlington.
Opening for Donovan Keith is Ryan Berg, a Dallas-based, acoustic-driven blues/Americana singer-songwriter. His 2017 debut album, "The Velvet Ears", draws on musical influences like Amos Lee and American soul musician Allen Stone, delivering a message that “travels deeper than just the surface of everyday life.” In 2018, Berg was announced as runner-up in Dallas radio station KXT's “Listeners’ Favorite” contest. Since then, Ryan Berg has played daily around DFW, appearing at venues like The Rustic, The Free Man, and the Granada Theater. He will perform at the Levitt on Independence Day weekend thanks to support from the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation.
**LIGHT UP ARLINGTON**
The July 3 Levitt concert is part of the two-day Light Up Arlington celebration happening in Downtown Arlington, which you can learn more about when you visit the City of Arlington’s website and social media channels. In addition to a free concert, Levitt guests will also enjoy prime seating for a fireworks display that will happen about mid-way through the Donovan Keith performance. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, allow extra time for parking (in consideration of street closures and large crowds), avoid the area closest to the stage (for best viewing of the fireworks), wear sunscreen, and drink plenty of water. Lawn chairs and coolers are welcome.
