It’s a foodie’s dream. 10 of Dallas’ favorite food trucks are putting the pedal to the metal and rolling into one place on Saturday, August 27, for the 1st Annual DFW Gourmet Food Truck Festival. The event, which takes place at the Sigel’s at 5757 Greenville Avenue, starts at 6 p.m.
A variety of different cuisines will be available, from savory Vietnamese dishes to succulent Mexican entrees to seemingly simple, but delectable, gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches. No need to leave for dessert, either. Satisfy that sweet tooth with a scrumptious cupcake from Trailercakes or cool off with a smooth, luscious ice cream cone from Mr. Cool Ice Cream. Our mouths are watering just thinking about it.
Sigel’s will also host a free wine and beer tasting during the festival. Drink aficionados can sample frothy beers from Samuel Adams and Rahr Breweries or sip on a variety of fine wines from Ninety Plus Cellars.
Even if you’re not hungry or thirsty, it’s worth a visit just to see the mobile trucks. From an old Airstream affectionately known as Bubbles to a perfectly pink trailer serving fried pies, these decked out mobile restaurants are easy on the eyes, and the stomach.
