BubbleLife wrote, yesterday, that Lakewood could soon be getting a bowling alley on Lower Greenville at Lewis and Greenville. Unfortunately, the Dallas Plan Commission decided to defer its decision until a July 21 meeting, according to a report from Rachel Stone of the Advocate.

The plan originated from Brooke Humprhies, the owner of Barcadia and Beauty Bar, and has several obstacles standing in its way. Any business in that section of Lower Greenville has to have a special use permit to operate past midnight. Neighborhood groups are also worried that the addition of another bar will increase the already existing problems of parking and crime.

The bowling alley would take up two existing buildings: the old Regal Beagle and Watel's World Piece Cafe.
