SMU will host the fourth annual Blondes vs. Brunettes Powder-Puff Football Game

If you're looking for something to do this weekend and want to help support a great cause, then drive on over to SMU on Saturday, August 6 for the fourth annual Blondes vs. Brunettes Powder-Puff football game at SMU's Westcott Field.

According to the event's website, over 150 of Dallas' most beautiful and talented young professionals will take the field, all in the name of finding a cure for Alzheimer's disease. In the history of this event, the participants have already raised over $500,000 for bi-lingual programming, 24/7 helpline, Safe-Return and research to find a cure.

In fact, this year's event alone has already raised $237,799 (at the moment of this article being written) and the event hasn't even started yet. It still isn't too late to make a donation by visiting the event's website. Or, better yet, come out to the game and cheer the players on. Each ticket is $25 and goes towards the donation fund.

For the players and coach, this event holds deeper meaning, as over 60-percent of them have been affected by Alzheimer's disease in one form or another. As one player on the Brunette team said, "I have met so many amazing people through Blondes vs. Brunettes. Everyone has a different story, but we're all dedicated to the same cause."

The Blonde team is currently undefeated in the three-year history of this event. The Brunettes will try and change that this weekend. Whether you're cheering for one team or another, or you've been touched by Alzheimer's in some way or you're just looking for something fun to do, come out to Blondes vs. Brunettes this weekend and help support a great cause.
