Beach Party of the Century will mark the finish of the White Rock Lake Centennial Celebration

This weekend, White Rock Lake is throwing the Beach Party of the Century as the closing event of their nearly-month long Centennial Celebration. The party starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday and goes until 10 p.m. that night so that everyone can go home and recharge for Sunday. The party restarts Sunday morning at 9 a.m. and goes on until 4 p.m. in the afternoon.

Participants can park for free at Norbuck, Flag Pole Hill and White Rock DART station with a shuttle service to the event. However, adults must pay $15 to get in and entrance for kids older than five is $5. Children five and under get in for free.

The event is hosted by 'For the Love of the Lake' with support from White Rock Lake Foundation and Friends of he Bath House.

10:00 a.m.: Gate Open; Antique Car Show
2:00 p.m.: Antique Car Awards
3:00 p.m.: Antique Car Parade
7:00 p.m.: Awards and Birthday Celebration
9:00 p.m.: Firewords

Sunday, June 26

9:00 a.m.: Gate Open; Sunset Inn Breakfast (until 10:30 a.m.); Gospel Music (until 12:00 p.m.)
12:00 p.m.: Ice Cream Social; Chef's Picnic at the Lake (until 3:00 p.m.; Tickets sold separately; hosted by Highland Park Cafeteria)
