Students in the Dallas area need to be more aware of the time this weekend and for the rest of the summer as Dallas police will be cracking down on kids violating curfew. Curfew begins at 11 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays and at midnight on Friday and Saturday. Those affected are students below the age of 17.
Curfew has two purposes: to preview teen mischief and to also keep teens safe. Violaters of curfew will be ticketed and transported to the police station where they will be held until their parents come to pick them up. Students with late-hour jobs are exempt from curfew but must have proof of employment if questioned.
