Lakehill's faculty and staff is ready to greet students on Monday.
When faculty and staff greet Lakehill Preparatory School students on Monday for the first day of school, they will welcome them into a building that has been transformed over the past 15 months.
After breaking ground on the project in May 2016, the Opening Doors Expansion Project debuts on Monday, offering students 16,000 square feet of new space and 8,000 square feet of renovated space. This vital effort produces new lab spaces for science, writing, and computer science, as well as a new art studio. It also provides new classrooms, administrative offices, and meeting and event rooms. A dramatic 5,000 square foot inner courtyard offers outdoor classroom and performance space.
“We appreciate the donors, board members, community leaders, neighbors, and all the members of our Lakehill family who worked together to make this dream a reality,” said Lakehill Headmaster Roger Perry. “We look forward to sharing this milestone in our school’s history.”
The entire community is invited to attend the Ribbon-cutting Ceremony on Tuesday, August 29, at 10:00 a.m. at the Main Campus.
