Middle School Canned Food Drive

The Lakehill Middle School Student Council organized a canned food drive to benefit Vickery Meadows Food Pantry. The drive focused on the four most-needed canned food items - fruits, vegetables, soup, and meat - with each grade focusing on one item. Students collected 1,937 cans which were delivered to Vickery Meadow. They also held a canned food sculpture contest on the final day of the drive. Seventh grade took top honors in the canned food sculpture contest with their Peace for Paris display, while the eighth grade dominated in the canned food collection with 1,458 cans.
