The Parade of gifts has been a holiday tradition at Lakehill for more than 25 years.
The Lakehill Preparatory School Middle and Upper School Choirs performed on Tuesday night, December 8, in the Wyly Auditorium for faculty, students, and friends. Under the direction of Tracy Herron and Linda Booth, the concert featured the vocal talents of the fifth grade choir, the seventh and eighth grade Allegro Singers, the Man Choir, and the Women's Chorale.

The combined Upper School Lakehill Chorale closed the program with several songs, including "Huron Carol" featuring science teacher Martina Kroll on the violin and sopranino recorder and sophomore Ryan Zhu on the keyboards, as well as the annual favorite, "Variations on Jingle Bells" with soloist Charlotte Abate.

The Lower School Winter Program, held in Lakehill's Wyly Auditorium on December 10, featured a variety of musical performances by each Lower School grade.

The program culminated with the Parade of Gifts by the children. Nearly 200 gifts were donated to Vogel Alcove, the Wilkinson Center, and Community Partners of Dallas to brighten the holidays for the children they serve. The giving of toys to children in need is a Lakehill tradition that is over 25 years old.

The fifth grade will sing on December 18 for patients and their families at Baylor's Sammons Cancer Center. The performance is a joyful and hopeful respite for many of the patients receiving treatments.
