Warrior spirit revved to full throttle on Friday afternoon at the annual Tailgate Pep Rally. The Varsity cheerleaders pumped up the crowd as teams and coaches were introduced.

Lakehill Preparatory School held its annual Tailgate Party on Friday evening before the Warriors' Varsity Football home opener against Greenville Christian.

Hundreds of fans gathered at the Warrior Athletic Complex to enjoy the pre-game festivities. The Lakehill Dads' Club fired up the grill, preparing more than 800 hot dogs to feed the hungry crowd who were treated to a Warrior victory.

The Lakehill Warriors hosted Greenville Christian Friday night at the Warrior Athletic Complex (WAC). It was the annual Tailgate event, and a large crowd was on hand for the first home game of the season. After an early score by the Eagles, the Warriors quickly gained momentum by capitalizing on several turnovers. Lakehill's offense balanced nicely, with touchdowns both on the ground and through the air. At halftime the Warriors held a comfortable 28-7 lead.

Both teams swapped scores in the second half, and Lakehill was able to get solid playing time for many of the younger players. The game finished with a final score of 42-19 in favor of the Warriors. Senior Brandon Bartholow led Lakehill with 102 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Several new faces made great contributions as well: freshman quarterback Harrison Lankford threw for two scores and ran for another, sophomore Avery Meiteen made two long catches and an interception, and freshman Jalen Webster was a force on defense with a number of tackles and several big hits.
