Lakehill Preparatory School's Opening Doors campus improvement project is on schedule and will be available for use for the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year.
Thankfully, much of the infrastructure (parking, utility lines, roads, and fencing) were completed over the summer months.
Currently, the north and south walls of the first floor, underground, have been poured in concrete. The west wall of the lower floor was poured on Wednesday. Over the next two weeks, work on the utilities and ground preparation will be completed for the bottom floor. Once these steps are completed and the steel is installed, the concrete floor will be poured.
The new elevator shaft and base will also be poured this week. We will have two elevators in the building when the project is completed.
Even more exciting is that we should expect to see steel rising from the ground in late September.
The pillars and fencing in front of the new faculty parking lot will be installed within the next few weeks.
