"I was really proud of how we played Tuesday," said JV Head Coach Katie Ford. "The team is working really well together, serving aggressively, and passing very consistently. It's been fun watching them run their offense and seeing them work on different hits at the net."
The Lakehill Varsity girls also beat Lutheran on Monday in straight sets (25-8; 25-20; 25-11). Claire Crow led the serving effort with seven aces while also having 21 assists and 13 digs. "I was pleased with how we played against Lutheran and knew it would be tough going into the Highlands game," said Varsity Head Coach Jhoana Cayme-Mosley. "We play in a very tough district and in the long run I think playing teams of that caliber will help prepare us for playoffs. Now we have to reset and refocus for Thursday's games."
The teams are at home against Yavneh at 6:00 and 7:00 p.m., tonight. The team travels to Dallas Covenant on September 20 before returning home to play Rockwall Heritage on September 22.
