According to the American Cancer Society (ACS), breast cancer is the most common form of cancer among American women, except for skin cancer. In fact, approximately one in eight women may develop invasive breast cancer at some time during her life.
Scheduling Made Easy
At Doctors Hospital at White Rock Lake, we realize that having your annual screening mammogram is not something most women enjoy. And with busy schedules, it is easily something that we tend to put off. To help make your life a little easier, we offer convenient evening and weekend hours. We are open until 7 p.m. during weekdays and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Who is This For?
Women over age 40 can schedule their screening mammogram without a doctor’s referral. This type of mammogram does not take much time and only needs to be done once a year for women over 40, as recommended by the ACS, and every two years for women aged 50 to 74, as suggested by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force.
