As a leading accreditor of health care organizations in the United States, the Joint Commission, in their 2014 annual report, has recognized our hospital for attaining and sustaining excellence in accountability measure performance in the following areas:

• heart attack
• heart failure
• pneumonia
• surgical care

Doctors Hospital at White Rock Lake is among only 36.9% of accredited hospitals to earn Joint Commission Top Performer status for 2013—a title which recognizes hospitals for taking steps to positively improve performance for patients with specific conditions.

To become a 2013 Top Performer, our facility had to meet three high-performance standards that demonstrated an improvement in patient care within the last year including:

• Achieving a cumulative performance of 95% or above, across all reported accountability measures
• Attaining a performance of 95% or above, on each and every reported accountability measure when there were at least 30 denominator cases
• Having at least one core measure set that had a composite rate of 95% or above, and (within that measure set) all applicable individual accountability measures had a performance rate of 95% or above.
