The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden proudly opens the most enchanting holiday experience in the Southwest, The 12 Days of Christmas on November 8 with a special Christmas tree lighting celebration. This exhibit runs through January 3 and features a dozen 25-foot-tall elaborate Victorian gazebos placed throughout the 66-acre garden, filled with charming costumed characters, whimsical animals and winter scenes made famous by the beloved Christmas carol. Each gazebo is encased in glass and extravagantly decorated on all sides to provide a dramatic, three-dimensional experience that adds to the “music box” quality.
This year, The 12 Days of Christmas is open during select evenings and is enhanced with an added 500,000 holiday lights, illuminating the trees and intricate gazebos, trimming the architecture of the historic homes and lighting the overhead canopies. Live music, special holiday performances, appearances from the North Pole’s favorite residents and holiday sweets and treats make the evening displays a one-of-a-kind, not-to-be-missed family outing.
Back by popular demand, The 12 Days at Night is open from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and purchasing evening tickets in advance is highly recommended.
Officially opening Holiday at the Arboretum, guests are invited to attend the spectacular lighting of the 30-foot-tall Christmas tree in the middle of the garden, starting at 7 p.m. on November 8.
