Dallas Arboretum Awarded 2014 TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence
Recognised as a Top Performing Attraction as Reviewed by Travelers on the
World’s Largest Travel Site
DALLAS, Texas (May 20, 2014) – Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden today announced that it has received a TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence award. The accolade, which honors hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor, and is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide. Establishments awarded the Certificate of Excellence are located all over the world and represent the upper echelon of businesses listed on the website.
When selecting Certificate of Excellence winners, TripAdvisor uses a proprietary algorithm to determine the honorees that takes into account reviews ratings. Businesses must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, volume and recency of reviews. Additional criteria include a business’ tenure and popularity ranking on the site.

A number of events have taken place in the year 2014 that have lended to the success of the Dallas Arboretum. In September the nationally acclaimed 8- acre Rory Meyrs Children Garden opened its doors to the public, receiving attention all across the nation. The Dallas Arboretum also celebrated their 30thAnniversary of Dallas Blooms featuring the theme “Birds of Paradise.” Based on over 1,300 reviews, the Dallas Arboretum is ranked number 1 out of 149 attractions in Dallas. The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is located on the southeastern shore of White Rock Lake at 8525 Garland Road, Dallas, Texas 75218. The Dallas Arboretum is also the home of the internationally acclaimed Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden. The Arboretum is open daily from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. General admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors 65 and older, $10 for children 3-12 and free for Arboretum members and children two and under.
