When Bishop Lynch High School Environmental Science teacher and Women’s Soccer coach Darrin Hedges was made aware of the dwindling school supply stock at neighboring George W. Truett Elementary, he jumped into action. Seeking the assistance from the Athletic Department, Hedges split the supply list and one by one each athletic team started filling in the blanks. From the baseball team donating binders, to the track team bringing in folders (and every sport and supply in between), the student-athletes truly exemplified their dedication to scholarship and service!
On Wednesday, November 19th, representatives from each Friar sport volunteered to help package and deliver an entire truck-load of school supplies to Truett Elementary! These supplies will help the students, families and teachers with their most immediate needs, and Bishop Lynch High School was honored to be able to contribute to the cause!
