Bishop Lynch High School

Bishop Lynch earned its first baseball victory of the season Saturday, routing Spartan Home School Association by an 11-1 score.

Senior Josh Aguilar drove in four runs with his two hits, Travis Amerine earned the win on the mound for the Friars and Larry McBurnett got the first hit and RBI of his career.

The junior varsity also topped Spartan, winning by a 12-2 margin.

The JV Friars were led by Josh Frausto, Nick Ramirez, Collin Crenwelge and Tanner Stark.

The freshman Friars dropped a pair at John Paul II, losing by scores of 9-1 and 12-1.

The varsity will play at home again Tuesday, hosting Dallas Christian at 4 p.m.
