Bishop Lynch was represented well Saturday during the prep state wrestling tournament at Houston Episcopal School. Three Friars finished in the top four and one took home a state title in his weight class and automatic placement in the prep nationals.

Sophomores Judd Pankey and Max Mills earned fourth-place finishes, while junior Greg Martinez will wrestle for third place tomorrow. Another junior, Michael Metry, won the 195-pound title and will compete in Bethlehem, Pa. at the prep national championships.

Juac Angoi, Tristen Rubio and Aaron Santiesteban advanced through the first three rounds before being eliminated.

The team will compete in one final meet when it heads to the TAPPS State Championships in San Antonio on Saturday, Feb. 20.
