Bishop Lynch baseball teams earned wins over Dallas Christian on Tuesday, displaying some impressive offensive firepower along the way.

The varsity Friars (2-1) topped the Chargers in a 10-7 road win, behind big performances at the plate from Gabe VasquezIan Landry and Marc DelValdene.

Vasquez went 2-for-3 with a double and drove in three runs. Landry doubled for one of his two hits and drove in a pair of runs. DelValdene also had two hits.

Josh Aguilar earned three walks and Joey Rutherford drove in a run. The Friars stole a total of seven bases.

Landry earned the win on the hill while Matt De Tullio and Jimmy Hartmann pitched in relief.

The junior varsity (2-1) entertained the home crowd with a 15-0 shutout of the Chargers.

Josh Frausto, Collin Crenwelge and Michael Baca each had a pair of hits.

Crenwelge tossed four shutout innings, allowing just two hits. Jack Hailey struck out two in an inning of relief work.

The varsity will face the Chargers again at home Tuesday with a first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m. The annual Alumni Game will take place Friday at 6 p.m.

The JV will travel to Argyle on Saturday for a district doubleheader against Liberty Christian. First pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m.

The freshman Friars (0-3) will also face Liberty Christian in a doubleheader Saturday, starting at 12 p.m. Freshman games will be played at McIngvale Field.
