A total of 13 seniors were recognized prior to Thursday's big district tilt against TCA, and the club gave their fans plenty of thrills in a 3-2 overtime win over the Trojans.
Senior Jose Marentes scored a pair of first-half goals off assists from junior Will Gates, giving the Friars a cushion early in the contest.
However, the Trojans scored late in the half, converting on a one-on-one against senior goalkeeper Josh Erdmann, making his first start between the pipes.
In the second half, TCA converted a penalty kick that sent the match into overtime.
The Friars put a barrage of shots on goal in the first overtime period but were unable to capitalize due to some clutch saves by the TCA goalkeeper.
In the second overtime, Senior captain Nick Vega put the ball near the goal on a free kick, allowing freshman Kevin Sifuentes to head the ball through the defense where fellow freshman Ryan Saldana hit a left-footed shot into the lower right corner of the net to win the match in dramatic fashion.
The Friars travel to Prestonwood Christian on Monday before closing out the regular season at home Wednesday against John Paul II.
