Bishop Lynch High School seniors Tristan Smith and Danielle Nevitt were recognized last night at the Lay Witnesses for Christ Christian Athlete of the Year banquet in Dallas.

Smith and Nevitt were among the 70 student-athletes from more than 3,700 nominees to receive invites to the event.

Smith, who has signed to play football at Illinois State University, was chosen as one of just 10 finalists for the award.

The winners of the award came from Highland Park and Grapevine Faith schools.
