The future of the Lady Friar basketball program appears to be very bright, and after a season that saw the team advance to the Final Four, the smallest and youngest player is the one shining most.

Freshman guard Endyia Rogers leads a group of eight hoopsters in the basketball programs to receive All-State and All-District honors. Rogers was named 1st Team All-State, Newcomer of the Year in District 1-5A and 1st Team All-District.

Along with junior Murphy Yoxall, a 2nd Team All-State and 1st Team All-District pick, Rogers helped guide the Lady Friars to a 26-9 mark during the 2015-2016 campaign, as well as a pair of playoff wins.

Another freshman, Jaida Thomas, was a 2nd Team All-District pick. Chris Scaife earned 2nd Team All-District honors for a young Friar team, which finished 16-18 but missed the playoffs.

Sophomore guard Sean Coman received Honorable Mention All-District honors while three seniors — Taylor Boyd, Bianca Bowring and Gage Tipton — received the same recognition.
