Bishop Lynch fell into an early hole and was unable to climb out Tuesday, falling to Liberty Christian in the first of a two-game district series.

The Warriors (20-1-1, 3-0) jumped out to a 4-0 lead and led by as many as six runs before the Friars (7-15, 0-3) were able to get on the scoreboard. Cale Hundley's three-run homer in the seventh sealed the deal as Liberty Christian left McIngvale Field with a 9-2 win, the Warriors' 15th-straight win and the fourth consecutive loss for the Friars.

Matt De Tullio took the loss on the mound, lasting just 1 1/3 innings. Christian Julius tossed six innings and struck out 11 to earn the win for LCS.

Josh Aguilar led the Friars at the plate, doubling twice for two of BL's five hits. Titus BeachamGabe Vasquez and Collin Crenwelge each had one hit.

Joey Rutherford and Lucas Barrilleaux each pitched in relief for the Friars.

The series will shift to Argyle tonight with the teams playing at 7 p.m.
