Bishop Lynch runners made quite the impression Friday as regional and state meets draw closer, earning first and third in the team standings at Prestonwood Christian Academy.

The Lady Friars blew away the field, winning the team title with 135 points, more than twice the point total of the second-place team. The Friars finished third, just eight points behind second-place Coram Deo.

The BL relay teams combined for six medals — two gold, two silver and two bronze. Ava Peeples swept the two long distance races on the women's side, while Joseph McDonald medaled in both distance races on the men's side.

The teams will compete Friday, April 15 at Trinity Christian Academy, the final (scheduled) meet in preparation for the TAPPS Region I Championship April 28, also at Prestonwood. The state meet is slated for May 6-7 in Waco.
