Three from BL compete at state tennis meet

Three from Bishop Lynch recently competed in the TAPPS State Tennis Championships in Waco, wrapping up the 2016 tennis season for the Friars.

The men's singles team of Ben Walter and Gatlin Shore were beaten 6-0, 6-3 by Hughes Levesque and Nicolas Heredia from Houston's Awty International, eliminating them from the tournament.

In women's singles play, Jillian Brown lost a tough match against Ana Roberta Flores from Brownsville's St. Joseph Academy. Due to rain, the scoring was modified and Brown lost in a third set tiebreaker with match scores of 6-2, 3-6, 10-8.

Congratulations to all of our BL tennis players for a hard-fought season.
