With just two games remaining, the Bishop Lynch men's basketball team sits in a difficult situation in regard to its playoff future.

The Friars (15-17 overall, 2-10 district) are currently last in District 1-5A following losses at Nolan Catholic last Friday and at home to Prestonwood Christian on Tuesday.

BL will host Bishop Dunne on Friday with the season on the line. The Friars will need to beat Dunne (10-17 overall, 3-9 district) in order to stay alive. A loss to Dunne would eliminate BL from playoff contention. The Friars can clinch a berth if they end the season with wins over both Dunne and Parish Episcopal (Monday).

Last week, the Friars were outscored by Nolan in each of the first three quarters and fell short with a rally in the final frame.

Nolan (22-10 overall, 7-7 district) built leads of 12-10, 22-16 and 36-24 on the way to a 47-42 win over the Friars.

Sean Coman led all scorers with 10 points, Davis Peck added nine and BL got six points apiece from Cameron WassellNick Freis and Chris Scaife.

On Tuesday, the Friars fell behind early and never recovered, falling to Prestonwood by an 88-60 margin. The Lions improved to 27-7 overall and 12-0 in district while handing the Friars their sixth consecutive loss.

Freis had 13 points, Gage Tipton added 10 and Scaife tossed in nine, but PCA built leads of 28-12, 52-25 and 71-40 after each period.

Friday's game against Dunne at 8 p.m. will be streamed live on Sportsgram.net. The Friars' two seniors — Gage Tipton and Tristan Smith — will be honored before the contest.
