With the second seed in the district all sewn up, the Bishop Lynch Lady Friars will look to end the season with as much momentum possible.

The Lady Friars (22-8 overall, 12-2 district) earned wins at Nolan and at home against Prestonwood Christian in their most recent outings and enter Friday's game against Bishop Dunne with a 5-game win streak and 11 wins in their last 12 games.

Last Friday, the Lady Friars needed a late 17-0 run to put Nolan away with a 53-43 score. Nolan had built a 14-point lead midway through the third period before BL went on a huge tear.

Mallory Lancaster scored a game-high 14 points, all of which came in the second half. She also grabbed five rebounds, four of which came off the offensive glass.

Murphy Yoxall (11) and Endyia Rogers (10) reached double figures in scoring. Elena Wafford grabbed 10 rebounds — all in the first half. Gaby Rogers added six points and five boards in a total of 12 minutes in the second half.

On Tuesday, the Lady Friars held Prestonwood to single digits in all four quarters, building leads of 10-4, 23-10 and 34-16 before winning by a 43-23 margin.

Rogers led all with 10 points and Bianca Bowring added nine.
