Friars prep for regionals at TCA meet

Bishop Lynch performed well Friday in field events at the Tom Landry Relays hosted by TCA-Addison.

BL only participated in field events at the meet, winning 17 medals and sweeping the medal stand in one event.

Bri Kipp, Mie Somiari, Diana Effiom, Cindy Ogunedo and Gage Tipton earned gold medals for the Friars.

The BL track team will next compete April 28-29 at the TAPPS 5A North Regional meet, hosted by John Paul II. Field events will begin at 10 a.m. on April 28, while running finals are slated to begin at 12:30 p.m. on the following day.

The top four finishers in each event automatically qualify for the TAPPS 5A State Championships, scheduled for May 6-7 in Waco.
