A pair of hot-shooting guards from Parish Episcopal sent Monday's game into overtime, but a pair of Lady Friar freshmen were clutch when it mattered most, leading BL to a 67-60 win and sending the team into the postseason on a seven-game win streak.

Parish's Amanda D'Auria (26 points) and Anna Pierce (24 points) provided almost all of the Lady Panthers' offensive output, but freshmen Endyia Rogers (22 points) and Jaida Thomas (19 points) came up with the biggest plays in the most crucial times.

After the two teams played to a 55-55 tie in regulation, but the Lady Friars clamped down on the Parish shooters and converted on their own end to outscore the visitors 12-5 in the extra period.

Senior Taylor Boyd (11 points) and Bianca Bowring (10 points) also came up big for the Lady Friars, who will head into this weekend's 5A Super Regional tournament as the No. 2 seed from District 1-5A.

The Lady Friars will face Houston's Incarnate Word (10-17) in Friday's opening round. The game is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. at College Station High School.

A rematch with Parish could be in the near future, as Bishop Lynch would face the winner of Friday's game between Parish and Houston Duchesne in the second round. That Saturday game is scheduled for 11 a.m. at A&M Consolidated High School.
