The varsity Friars won't be heading to the postseason this weekend, but if Monday's season finale is any indication, they should be a real threat the next time around.
Sophomores Sean Coman and Davis Peck came up with clutch plays again and again, leading the Friars to a 68-66 win over Parish Episcopal during Monday's season finale.
Coman pumped in a game-high 23 points, Peck added 12 and had several key defensive plays as the Friars snapped a seven-game losing streak with an impressive win against a team that had beaten BL by 22 just a month earlier.
Senior Gage Tipton was also in double figures with 10 points in his final game in a Bishop Lynch uniform. The team will graduate just two seniors this year.
The junior varsity Friars topped Parish by a 64-33 score and ended their season with a 21-8 overall record and 11-3 district mark.
The freshman team beat Parish 64-25, won nine of their last 10 games and closed out the year with a 21-7 record overall and 11-3 district record.
