Dunne no match for BL tennis team

After two events, the Bishop Lynch tennis team has two victories with Monday's 7-1 win over Bishop Dunne at the Dallas Athletic Club.

BL's only loss was in boys singles, where Daniel Barrett fell to Dunne's Gabe Fajardo, 6-1, 6-0. In another boys singles match, BL's Antonio Andrews topped Phillip Williams of Dunne, 6-2, 6-0.

On the girls side, singles matches were won by Jilian Brown (6-1, 6-1), Allie Irving (6-2, 6-1) and Audrey Hiltabidle (8-4).

Doubles victories were claimed by the teams of Anna Secker and Anna McCutchen (6-0, 6-0), as well as the duo of Melanie McVicker and Samantha Sullivan (6-0, 6-1). McVicker and Hiltabidle also won a doubles match by a 6-0 score.

Bishop Lynch returns to action Wednesday to take on Parish Episcopal at UT-Dallas, then will host Liberty Christian on Thursday at the DAC.
